FBW Series Water Filter
Fully Automatic Industrial Filters with Filtered Water Backwash.
Below is a list of filter media which may be used in the MacCLEAN FBW Series filter.
Activated Carbon - Dechlorination, taste and odor, reduction of organics.
Multi Layered - Clarifying filter. Provides a stratified bed of anthracite, garnet and quartz.
Filter Sand - Turbidity removal. Particulate matter must have a density less than the material being used as the filtering agent.
Green Sand - Iron reduction. Must be supplied with a continuous feed of potassium permanganate.
Neutralizer - Elevates the pH level of acid water. Reduces corrosion associated with acidic water. Water hardness will most likely increase.
Features:
- Rugged diaphragm valve provides control of service flow and filtered water backwash. Simple, infrequent repair makes the FBW series filter a superior valve system.
- Systems requiring tanks 24" in diameter and smaller, have a fiberglass reinforced media tank. Larger models feature heavy walled, low carbon steel tanks that are epoxy lined with a primer coated exterior. Optional galvanizing is available on most models. Appropriate man holes and hand holes where needed. ASME Code or Standard Non-Code100 psi rated.
